August Couples Play
Seventy golfers turned out on a wonderfully almost cool August afternoon to participate in the monthly selected-drive, alternate-shot event. After lots of good and not-so-good shots, the couples enjoyed a nice dinner buffet. The full results are listed below. The final "Couples Play" of the season will be held Sunday, September 19th.

Parent - Child Event
There was a wonderful turn-out for the second annual, 9-hole Parent-Child Event. 44 players participated in this selected-drive, alternate-shot event. Prizes were awarded for both gross and net winners. The winner of the putting contest for Juniors was Don Bongiovano - who won a Junior Membership to Pleasant Valley for the entire season next year. The winner of the putting contest for the Adults was Chris Paulin - who won a $75 gift certificate for merchandise in the golf shop. Congratulations to All!
Three Club Challenge
A wonderful turnout for the first Three Club Challenge ever hosted by Pleasant Valley. Players chose any three clubs to play with and left the rest in the trunk. Sixty six golfers participated in the July Couples Play - a selected drive, alternate shot event - on this sunny, hot summer day with just enough breeze to make the day comfortable. Enfield Wins Match Play Championship
Over the beautiful, three-day Memorial Day Weekend, golfers battled it out for the title of Pleasant Valley GC Match Play Champion. The weather was wonderful, the course in excellent condition and the matches- outstanding. The full results are given below, but certainly one of the highlights was Lester Varner making a hole-in-one, double eagle on #1 to go an early 1up on his opponent Dick Wilson who birdied the hole. Saturdays matches determined who continued in the Championship bracket and who went on to compete in the Consolation bracket.
